Four Dots Kolam No : 1

This is a typical four dot grid Kolam (கோலம்) which is very easy to draw and is given as follows:

Step 1 / 4 : First put reasonable size (preferably smaller) dots on a clean surface that has been swept and wiped thoroughly to remove all dust and dirt. 

Step 2 / 4 : Next start drawing a small loop in the inner four dot grid as follows.

Step 3 / 4 : Next start drawing again by now covering the outer dots in a curved format, enveloping one dot after another to form a pattern as shown below.

Step 4 / 4 : Now in the final step to complete the Kolam (கோலம்), draw curved lines to form a loop around each of the outer grid dots to form a pattern as below.
