This is the second of the Four-Dot series of Kolam (கோலம்). These Four-dot Kolams look intricate but are actually easy to make. So draw your way all through!
Step 1 / 7 : Wipe the surface "squeaky clean" first. Then put the four sided grid of dots (you can adjust the size of the dots as per the surface available).
Step 2 / 7 : Next locate the corner square on the left hand side and cover the dots as below.
Step 3 / 7 : Now, similarly locate the "square" on the right-hand side and connect the dots as u did in step 2 , like this.
Step 4 / 7 : Now find the straight space to draw a line from the left-hand corner to the right-hand corner like this..
Step 5 / 7 : I know my lines are a little wobbly on the virtual artpad...but please try to make it as straight as possible on the floor!
Now, the other straight line from the right-hand corner to the left-hand corner, like this...
Step 6 / 7 : Now draw curved lines enveloping the dots from one corner of the straight line to the other end-corner of the same straight line.
Step 7 / 7 : The final part is to draw curved lines enveloping the dots from other one corner of the straight line to the other end-corner of the same straight line.
And yes, it does feel good when seen on the floor!!
