Filling Rangoli to the Clover-Flower Kolam

Since I could not get a snap of my actual rangoli with the previous kolam, I have created a virtual rangoli using the same colors as used on floor. When using the rangoli, the colors needs to be mixed with white rice flour or the regular kolam powder to get more quantity as well as to use it easily on the surface. Rangoli powder come in small packets and are very fine in texture. Hence the mixing with plain kolam powder needs to be done.

Again, I apologize for the "wobbliness" due to me not being used to virtual art pad!
But guys just do this rangoli and decorate it with flowers and diyas and they are so pretty on any auspicious day! I would love to know if anyone tried!

Four Dots Kolam No : 3

This is called a Clover-flower kolam (கோலம்). This is one of the easiest of the four-dots grid kolams that I am in awe with. This especially looks good when filled with colors which is given in the next post.
As of now, look at the steps for drawing this one:

Step 1 / 7 : Put four dotted grid, having equal spaces in-between on a clean surface.

Step 2 / 7 : Draw two " V " shaped lines facing or opposite to each other like this..

Step 3 / 7 : Similarly, draw two more " V " shaped lines in the other two directions, in  such a way that there are " V's " on all the directions.

Step 4 / 7 : Now draw one clover flower on any one corner like this one below...

Step 5 / 7 : Draw one more clover flower on any one corner like this one below...

Step 6 / 7 : Draw one more clover flower on any one corner like this one below...

Step 7 / 7 : Draw one more clover flower on the last corner remaining like this one below to complete the kolam.

Now please make this kolam more beautiful by filling colors (ரங்கோலி) in the spaces. See my next post for it. I made this on the last Diwali, and it was adorned with flowers and diyas (வேலகுகள்) to make an awesome welcome for my guests to enter my place on Diwali! Let me know if u have tried it already!
